Zahra Sultan Nizam Mafi (‘Izzat al-Saltanah) writes to her sister, Ma‘sumah Nizam Mafi, in Rome, telling her family news and discussing Ma‘sumah Khanum's interest in mysticism. She asks if her readings have offered her some understanding of human suffering, and requests that she share any insight she may have acquired. Hafez Farmayan's interview conducted by Manoutchehr Eskandari-Qajar on 5 February 2010. He shares his memories of family members, acquaintances, and the daily life and rituals of people in the Qajar era. Hafez Farmayan describes the life of his Father (ʻAbd al-Husayn Mirza Farmanfarma) in his estate in Tehran, his childhood memories of his mother and other co-wives, and his siblings and other people living on the estate. The plan of this estate is also drawn by Farmayan and it is included as an item in this collection.
